Cherry On Top Productions was created by Karmel Bortoleti. It is an independent studio based in Miami, Florida that has produced four films to date, mainly across the horror and psycho thriller genres.  Bortoleti saw an opportunity to make high quality Hollywood films at lower cost budgets that would be attractive to the  larger studios who are unable to match the independent’s costs and who are in need of content across their distribution channels.  She has assembled a highly creative go to cast of actors, line producers, directors that give Cherry on Top a competitive advantage in sourcing topical content that appeals to large audiences across various formats, including theatrical, streaming, and television.  The success of this small studio has allowed it to punch above its weight and land household names like Timothy Murphy (National Treasure), Billy Zane (Back to the Future and Titanic) and others.  The studio has a robust pipeline of projects that are in pre production.   Cherry on Top seeks to produce a slate of 5 -6 films over the next 3 years with estimated total equity needs of $4 million to produce these films at an average of around $700,000 or so per film.  Given the attractiveness and appeal of these films, potential buyers include the major Hollywood Studios, streaming services and networks.
